Mazda3 Dashboard

With good reason, drivers expect a superior performance and driving experience, with the latest tech features, all with an affordable sticker price from Mazda, which has consistently been ahead of the curve and at the front of the pack; a position we have no intention of giving up.

Mazda Technologies are Designed for Drivers

Mazda technology tends to be ahead of the competition by having, every design feature start with you, the driver. You’ll stay connected, entertained and informed while maintaining optimum driver comfort and panoramic, continuous visibility.

SKYACTIV Technology

On average, a car’s engine only uses 30 percent of the potential energy in the fuel burned. However, our current SKYACTIV engines harness 15 percent more potential energy than typical car engine, improving fuel economy and torque. Add a lightweight chassis and body and you have a vehicle that’s light, efficient and combines the benefits of an automatic without sacrificing the feel and control of a manual transmission.

Environmental Technology

Other than the improved efficiency afforded by SKYACTIV, here are a few more Mazda technologies that designed to help reduce our carbon footprint:

  • Idling Stop technology – shuts the engine down when it’s static and starts it up seamlessly when vehicle goes into motion.
  • Brake Energy Regeneration – lots of energy is created by the friction from a car’s brakes. With most cars, that energy is completely wasted. Mazda technologies allow that kinetic energy to be transformed into electric energy and re-used to power headlights, audio systems, climate control and various other electronic systems.
  • Recycling, Bio-based materials – Mazda uses recycled and bio-based materials wherever we can throughout our Mazda vehicles. Many of the plastics are environmentally friendly bio-engineered plastics, providing high quality in an eco-friendly package.

Mazda Technologies Designed to Keep You Safe

Your safety has always been our most important consideration in designing Mazda vehicles. Mazda technologies that make driving safer include:

  • I-ACTIVESENSE -- detection devices, including radar and cameras to keep drivers aware of potential collision hazards in a 360-degree radius.
  • Intelligent Transport System (ITS) – Mazda continues to develop technologies that make use of telecommunication technology to provide drivers with information to make their commutes safer.

Mazda Connect – Technology to Keep You Connected

Your smartphone just became a lot smarter. With in-vehicle software that allows you to use many of your cell phone applications safely while driving and providing additional apps specific to your driving experience, the Mazda Connect system allows you to stay connected on the road. You can use many of your favorite apps, safely and hands-free. The human-centered design of the driver’s seat and the location of the infotainment systems and touchscreen allow you to keep your eyes on the road and still stay connected. Whether you need to control the audio system, climate control, access vehicle information or get turn-by-turn directions, you can do so easily, while keeping your attention on your most important task – driving safely.
