How to Change Your Mazda Tires?

change Mazda tires 2021

Don't worry if you get a flat tire. Make your way to the side of the road or other location away from traffic immediately, put the car in PARK, put the emergency brake in place, turn on the hazard lights, and turn off the engine.

  • Access your tire-changing kit and spread out the tools in the designated work area.
  • Using your tire iron or other tool if included, remove the rim covering (hubcap) to expose the rim and lug nuts, which hold the wheel on the axle.
  • Use the tire iron to loosen the lug nuts but do not remove them completely.
  • Once you've loosened the lug nuts, place the jack in the location indicated by the instructions.
  • Use the jack to raise the vehicle until the wheel is just off the ground (a few inches is enough).
  • Remove the lug nuts and place them in a bag or container to keep them safe.
  • Lift the wheel off the axle and replace it with the spare tire.
  • Screw the lug nuts back on but do not tighten them all the way, just enough to hold the spare tire in place.
  • Lower the vehicle until the spare tire rests on the ground.
  • Tighten the lug nuts using the tire iron.

Stow your damaged wheel and drive slowly and carefully to a facility where you can repair or replace your tire. Stay safe out there!
